A Woman’s Work is Never Done!!

Why is it that when I come home from work, I’m the one who has to feed the cats, cook the dinner, do the washing, take out the rubbish, water the plants and wash up, whilst my boyfriend happily surfs the net until his dinner’s ready?

I think I must have ‘mug’ written across my forehead.  I wouldn’t mind if I didn’t work, but I do and bloody hard’s more to the point.  The last thing I want to do after a day at work is start all over again, but hey ho that’s my life – dull as dish water.

My cats….

Coldsores – Yuk!!

I’m sure I’m not alone when I say that it pisses me off when my body decides to develop a massive zit or coldsore before important events such as a party, a wedding or a work meeting.

I have a wedding to attend on Saturday with my partner and members of his family and low and behold I’ve developed a coldsore which thanks to Boots Dual Action Coldsore Lotion now looks like a Cornflake!!  Never mind that I have a beautiful dress and that I’m booked in for a spray tan tomorrow,  I’m sure that all that anyone will notice is my new friend, Mr Coldsore, which my partner has kindly named ‘George’.

Now I’m sure that anyone reading this will think this is pure vanity (I know my partner will), but can anyone honestly say that they’d be feeling at their best with a crusty scab round their mouth, particularly when they’re meeting people they’ve never met before.

In Danger of Being Left Behind…….

Until very recently I didn’t even know what a ‘Blog’ was let alone create or subscribe to one (is that the correct terminology?!?!?)  This is pretty scary stuff, particularly as I’m supposed to be a Marketing Manager for a Software Company – the mind boggles!!  I’ve purchased books such as ‘Naked Conversations’ which was recommended to me by several people, but if you don’t know what a blog is then you don’t really stand a chance.

Fortunately I’ve got people who are prepared to help me.  Today I had a meeting with our Development Manager (and friend) about setting up a Corporate Blog and it was him that said the only way to learn was to set one up and start looking at others – so here I am and I’ve been racking my brains on what I can post.  This seemed like the perfect place to start, from the beginning.
